Pupillage / Chambering
We are seeking motivated Chambering Students / Pupils to complete their pupillage under the supervision of our senior advocates. You will gain hands-on exposure across Corporate, Litigation, and Property matters, and develop the practical skills needed for admission as an Advocate & Solicitor.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist advocates with research, drafting, and preparation of legal documents
- Attend court hearings, client meetings, and negotiations with supervising counsel
- Support due diligence and file management for corporate and property matters
- Prepare case summaries, chronologies, and research memoranda
- Observe and participate in the day-to-day running of a busy practice
- Complete all pupillage requirements under the guidance of your pupil master
Requirements
- LLB (or equivalent) and eligibility to commence pupillage / chambering in Malaysia
- Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) or Bar vocational qualification as applicable
- Strong academic record and genuine interest in legal practice
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work as part of a team
- Based in or able to relocate to Kuching, Sarawak for the pupillage period
